Used Pitching Machines
All the reps, but at a fraction of the cost when you buy a used pitching machine. Giving your team hittable pitches is what turns kids into good batters.
If you simply keep the machine clean and follow the easy maintenance, you will enjoy hours of trouble free batting practice. Our little league team has gone three seasons without a problem with our used pitching machine.
If you can find one, buy it. The problem is that even in the off season, you will have trouble finding someone willing to sell their used pitching machine. What kind of used pitching machine should I get?
There are different type of pitching machines: Spinning wheel, Arm action, Air powered, Whiffle ball
Depending on what your needs are, this will determine if one type of pitching machine is better for you or not. One key above all else (especially when you are considering a used pitching machine) is to make darn sure you get to demo the machine. Make sure you get a full “test” run with varying speeds and curves – you want to make sure it works! Obviously, the most bang for the buck will be important – more important than the “type” of machine.
