Louisville Slugger TPX Response a good bat?
Is that a good bat to use for baseball? If anyone has used that bat can you tell me how it was for you?
They don't make responses anymore, but you can get a used one at ebay. i used that my freshmen year of high school and i'm now a junior in college. The louisville response bat was replaced with the exogrid from tpx. Its basically the same feel but better technology

Exogrid is all the buzz in high school and college baseball circles at the moment. Because Louisville Slugger has come out with the amazing TPX Exogrid baseball bat.
So what is Exogrid? Exogrid is a technology that has been developed that fuses a matrix of metal and composite together to create a material that has exceptional qualities.
Exogrid materials start their life as a high strength metal or metal alloy such as titanium. Using advanced machining such as laser cutting portions of the metal are cut away leaving behind a solid light-weight one piece web or matrix of metal.
The Exogrid shell is then fused to an inner composite structure with the patented Bi/Fusion process. Under intense heat and pressure the metal and composite become one solid structure that is both lightweight and strong.
The metal Exogrid adds strength and the composite is lightweight and has better bending / torsion characteristics than metal. The multi - material design has advanced vibration dampening abilities because of the different natural frequencies of the materials.
Louisville Slugger has introduced the TPX Exogrid which uses the technology to create a dominating baseball bat. They claim that the TPX Exogrid's one piece design with an ultra stiff carbon composite reinforced handle is the key to harder, longer hitting.
The theory is that if the handle flexes the barrel can't. When the barrel of the bat makes contact with the ball their is a trampoline effect where the force of the swing is transferred to the ball. With a flexible or two-piece bat as found in the competition Louisville Slugger claims that some of the force of the swing is lost.
And while some of the competition claim that a flexible handle increases performance it's hard to argue when TPX's stiff handle technology has been used by 7 of the last 9 College World Series Champions.
The bat is end weighted and takes a little more strength to swing then a more balanced bat. This bat is definitely built to be a homerun hitter's bat. And it hits hard. The bat has great pop, my hits were consistently 40 - 50 ft. further than usual. The bat feels good and the sound it makes is pleasing.
