The Stealth Comp CNT combines Easton's Carbon Nanotube Technology - a composite fiber sixteen times stronger than high performance aluminum - and Easton's ConneXion Technology - a separate barrel and handle permanently bonded by a special elastomer piece that allows for greater flex than is possible with a single piece bat.
Like the Synergy before it, the Stealth Comp CNT uses Easton's patented "IMX" - Integrated Matrix - technology, which optimizes the relationship between materials, design and the manufacturing process to create the highest performing bat possible. Each step in the development of the composite shell and the separate composite handle is designed to work seamlessly with the next step, creating true synergy: the best material for the design and the best design for the process and the best process for the material translate to a bat that gets the most out of every ingredient.
It features Easton's patented "Extended Flex" barrel design which lengthens the sweet spot by increasing the barrel flex towards the handle and end of the bat to allow maximum performance across the entire barrel. It features Easton's patented "Opti-Flex" CNT composite handle technology which provides handle flex that measures two times greater than its aluminum models.The barrel and handle are attached using Easton's patented "ConneXion" technology which acts like a hinge to provide efficient energy transfer from handle to barrel for maximum head whip, a quicker bat and more power through the hitting zone.
The addition of "CNT" - carbon nanotube technology - strengthens composite structures. The weakest areas in a traditional composite bat are the tiny spaces between the fibers that are filled with resin; carbon nanotubes, structures one billionth of a meter in size, are dispersed throughout the resin, making it tougher. Because of their size, surface area, geometry and purity, carbon nanotubes are measurably stronger than continuous carbon fiber. The process of distributing the CNT throughout the resin is made possible by Zynex NanoSolve materials and is exclusive to Easton.It is balance weighted and has a thin 29/32" handle with a "Pro Tack" cushioned grip.

The H2 design utilizes a full 3X composite handle and transition area. The move to a full 100% graphite composite design in the transition allows for an even stiffer handle than offered in the EXOGRID. Graphite is lighter and stronger than aluminum, allowing a stiffer handle. A lighter handle/transition means a longer barrel and sweet spot. A stiff handle produces more barrel flex, resulting in maximum trampoline effect and, ultimately, greater performance.

When selecting youth baseball bats it is important to consider the bat’s length, weight, barrel width, and league requirements. While wood bats are available, most people select aluminum or cutting-edge alloy bats for youth baseball. A general rule is to select the lightest bat for its length in order to maximize swing power. Lighter bats are more expensive, while heavier bats are usually thicker and made from a cheaper-grade aluminum. Longer youth baseball bats arm the player with more plate coverage, but they also weigh more. Shorter bats are faster but may force the batter to crowd the plate in order to reach the outside edge of the strike zone.
Also consider the size of the barrel. A larger barrel wields more power and has a bigger sweet spot, yet the larger barrel requires more mass, and so it is heavier. Often selecting a bat is an imperfect science because you can’t really hit a ball in a store, or even really swing the bat for that matter. You might even try going out to a local baseball practice or batting cage. Then you can try many different bats, actually making contact with the ball, and get a much more accurate picture of what bat works for your son or daughter.
Little League baseball bats should not be more than 33 inches long or more than 2 1/4 inches in diameter at the barrel. Little League baseball bats should be taped around the handle and up 10 inches. Bats are measured in inches for length and ounces for weight. Minus numbers are used to show a bat’s measurements. For example, if a bat is 33 inches long and has a (-10) rating, that means the bat weighs 23 ounces. So the higher the negative number than the lighter the bat is for its length.

Rawlings is one of the oldest names in the baseball equipment industry. Unfortunately, they're the Rodney Dangerfield of baseball bats. They get no respect. You rarely see a Rawlings bat on a little league, high school and most definitely a college field. In a nutshell, it's not cool to have a Rawlings bat.
Rawlings and Louisville have very similar baseball bat philosophies. The stiff handle one piece bat is the center of their universe. Here's what Rawlings is offering in 2009:
- Rush Composite Lite - One piece, 100% composite bat featuring a stiff handle. Rawlings has entered the composite bat category and, as they should be, is priced below the top composite bats of its competitors. But it's not priced low enough so I'd go with the Omaha Composite if you must have a 100% composite bat and don't want to pay top dollar. Plus, Rawlings doesn't even provide any hype for the material of this bat. No "pitch black" composite, "double weave", etc. This is unheard of in the industry. We must have spin!
- Rush Gold Lite - Two piece, composite handle, alloy barrel bat that features a stiff handle and "liquid metal" allow. I can't recommend this one either as there are better options.
- Plasma - One piece, 100% alloy bat with a stiff handle and Rawlings "liquid metal" alloy. Okay for the younger player, but otherwise I'd pass on this one as well.
Now, I have seen players hit the ball a long way with a Rawlings bat. But as mentioned, I'd only purchase a Rawlings bat for a young player or if you're on a budget.

The Easton Reflex aluminum baseball bat is a cost effective alternative to composite bats. It is 100 percent aluminum construction, which is useful in leagues that prohibit composite bats.
The Reflex is built with 7050 aircraft alloy, which gives it plenty of strength. It also incorporates a total-peen anodized finish.
While composite bats outperform the Reflex, the Reflex is a comfortable bat to use. It has a 12 inch barrel which gives it a nice sized sweet spot, and the anodized finish helps reduce vibration when striking the ball.
