Constructed using Marucci's patented new two-piece design, the Black fuses an AZ3000 Alloy barrel with a composite handle. The composite handle on the Black is made extra stiff so that players can hit for maximum power, while Marucci's AZ3000 Alloy is ultra-responsive and provides the industry's best combination of performance and durability.
The barrel on the black is made extra-long which results in a larger sweet spot and increased trampoline effect.
The Black also features unprecedented big league balance, which means that players don't have to sacrifice swing speed for a bigger barrel.
A reduced M.O.I. gives the bat a lighter swing weight for increased swing velocity, and ultimately more power.
Marucci also brings their popular anti-vibration knob to the Black which, combined with the bat's two-piece construction, effectively eliminates negative vibration to give players maximum confidence and comfort at the plate.
In addition, the Black BBCOR does not use "rings" or "governors" inside the barrel, as these tend to break off and create problems for players. Instead, the walls thickness is tuned using careful attention to detail to create the hottest BBCOR certified bat on the market.
